The Sears, Roebuck & Co. long-bed wood lathe, model 149.23860, was first created in 1935. This one has been kept indoors all its life but hasn't been used for quite a while. When my 90-year-old woodworking friend moved to his current location, the drive motor was misplaced for some reason and was never found. So, the lathe sat in a corner of his shop.
