I have a big dog friend, Otto; he is Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mixed. Otto will be 3 in May. He is a big goofy soul, playful, yet protective. I took in Otto at 9 weeks old and he makes a great companion. Last year I had a baby and became a single mom. This life change made it difficult to fully show up for Otto how I would like to and has forced me to reprioritize my responsibilities.
I love Otto so much, but I have been trying to figure out if there are any better housing options available for him. I have around a quarter acre, but its in town and I get constant complaints from my neighbors about my barking dog. I do not think its fair to him that he is forced to live the life of a city dog, when he is a country boy.
I am looking for someone with land who wants a guardian dog. I know for sure he is comfortable around cats, but not always great with other dogs. He knows some basic commands and is up to date on all vaccinations. He is house trained and likes company but also loves to be outdoors. He appreciates cuddles and exercise. He is quite a large dog and needs someone patient and understanding of how his breed can be stubborn; they are not always people pleasing dogs, but more independent thinkers. He will make a great guardian dog for a human companion that is looking for an Otto.
