I just came home from a long trip to all of our boys having matured. Waaaaay too many roosters. They're fully mature and ready for their own flocks.
All of these are working roosters - they've free-ranged their entire lives, understand how to protect the hens etc. Many of these are brothers and get along well, so if you have a larger flock and would like two, that's easily arranged. (We also have at least one who needs to go alone, as he doesn't like other roosters.)
These are almost all the progeny of purebreds. Breeds include Leghorn, Barred Rock, Australorp, and Delaware. The parent rooster for most of them was an Australorp. (In one case, the parent rooster was a Leghorn.)
All of these roosters are non-aggressive. They see humans as a source of treats and food, not as competitors. Some will probably eat out of your hand.
We're looking to give these roosters to other flocks. If you're looking for meat, please look elsewhere.
We're located near Monroe, but are willing to deliver to Eugene/Corvallis. You're also welcome to come out here.
