About Us
Healthy Moves for Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children and families through education, community programs, and special events.
We are seeking an experienced WordPress professional to maintain and update our existing website. The site is already built using the Avada theme and builder, and we are looking for someone to continue maintaining the current site rather than redesigning it.
Responsibilities
Update website content using WordPress and the Avada Builder
Add and edit text, images, downloadable documents, and other website content
Update event information and maintain our Events Calendar
Produce and maintain a monthly newsletter
Upload and organize photos and graphics
Maintain donation and contact pages as needed
Assist with setup and maintenance of our annual online charity auction using Auctria (or comparable auction software)
Ensure pages display properly on desktop and mobile devices
Perform routine WordPress, theme, and plugin updates after verifying backups
Troubleshoot occasional website issues and recommend improvements when appropriate
Coordinate with our staff regarding requested website changes
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience maintaining WordPress websites
Previous experience with the Avada Theme and Avada Builder (required)
Experience with Auctria or another online charity auction platform
Familiarity with The Events Calendar plugin
Experience working with Contact Form 7 or similar form plugins
Basic knowledge of WordPress security, backups, and plugin management
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
Ability to work independently and respond to occasional update requests in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with nonprofit organizations
Graphic editing experience (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
Basic SEO knowledge
Experience supporting fundraising events and online donations
Position Details
This is a part-time, ongoing maintenance position. Most work will consist of routine website updates, event postings, image replacements, auction support, and occasional content revisions. We are not seeking a complete website redesign.
The position is primarily remote, but applicants must reside in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area so they can occasionally meet with staff in person and provide support during major fundraising events when needed.
