Total Release Basketball is seeking Youth Directors for various high school male & female programs. This is an internship for credit and/or pay for someone who desires to learn about overseeing sports programs, being a head coach and how to manage multiple teams, coaches and parents. In the process you will be supported by TRBO personnel & the local high school staff.

The basic goals is for this person to build an overall basketball community and feeling of a "Basketball Family" that reaches down to the youth teams, youth players and also to the youth coaches. Their job is to do this by being the communicator, organizer and bridge between the high school and middle school. They have one foot in the high school program and one foot in the middle school program.
They will spend their time working alongside the high school staff and supporting the middle school coaches. The purpose is to get to know the coaches, the high school system, to learn and to connect. If you desire the opportunity to be a high school level assistant, this may arise alongside the youth director duties. It will be up to you & the HS coach if juggling both roles is feasible or not. Your coaching desire can be discussed during the interview process.
This person needs to be a self-starter, good communicator, organizer, passionate about the game of basketball and mentoring youth through the vehicle of sports.

TRBO is a non-profit organization that is building up the youth girls basketball programs in the North Eugene, Sheldon, South Eugene, Springfield, Thurston & Willamette areas by offering teams in the spring, winter and fall. We also have Elite Travel Teams by age level who will be comprised of the best players for a specific grade level.
Coaches who are selected will be required to pass a background check and complete other necessary training materials.
