• Previous experience working as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
• Strong lathe skills, including ID grind, cut and pressure knurl operations and ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Experience working with large metal parts.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and drawings.
• Comfort working with stainless steel and other hard metals.
• Strong attention to detail and patience for long setup times.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes for material handling.
Preferred Skills
• Experience performing repair or rework machining.
• Boring mill, Horizontal mill, index head, surface grind, and OD grind
• Background in industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality focused manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work well with others and independently in various situations
• Own basic hand, measuring and set up tools.
