Hi friends and community — I’m reaching out in a season of regrouping and hope someone here might have a lead or a heart to help.
I’m a mom navigating post-separation and coercive control realities, and after several months of court chaos and supports for my kids, we are finally turning a corner. The last four months snowballed in ways I couldn’t fully prevent — but the good news is that supports are now in place, my children are stabilizing, and we’re actively rebuilding.
I’m looking for a temporary housing option (3–6 months) such as:
• A private landlord with flexibility
• A mother-in-law suite / studio
• An RV or trailer to borrow or rent
• A safe place on land where an RV could be parked
Budget: $500–$700/month (I have $700 available for February)
Location: Eugene/Springfield or nearby
Family: Me + my two kids (homeschooled) + one dog
Dog: 5 years old, spayed, gentle, and well-loved
I own my own small business and once housing is settled, I’ll be able to increase my work hours again. My kids and I also have access to my office space several days a week, so we won’t be home all day. They enjoy being involved and helping as appropriate.
I grew up rural, previously owned acreage, and I’m happy to trade help if that’s useful — land work, organizing, sorting, admin support, or general assistance. I’m a therapist by training but stepped back from one-on-one work temporarily to prioritize my children during this season. With the right supports now in place, we’re in a much steadier position.
Our previous landlord chose to sell at the end of the lease, and between court costs, the holidays, and investing remaining funds into a business model designed to support my kids (and allow them to be with me while I work), savings were depleted. That investment is now beginning to show traction and income is slowly returning.
I’m hoping to connect with someone who understands the realities of leaving coercive control or simply has compassion and faith for people rebuilding — someone who believes, like I do, that sometimes we learn to dance in the rain.
If you have a lead, a space, or even a conversation to offer, please comment or message me privately. Even sharing this post is deeply appreciated.
