Do you support a woman’s right to choose, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, recycling, and composting?
Do you like animals of the furry and feathered variety?
If the answer to these questions is yes, read on!
The room:
The room is carpeted, approximately 10.5x12.5’ with a small closet. There’s two windows, one facing east and one facing south.
The house:
Located in West Eugene on Royal Ave, the house sits on 5ish acres. It’s kind of a duplex situation. 4 people reside on what I refer to as Side A, Zach, Mak, Tali, and….possibly you?.
There’s a large fridge in the kitchen and a new oven. There’s one bathroom down the hall from your potential room and another in the utility room, both are equipped with a shower. The living room is *large* but sadly, no one uses it. The dining room is like a tropical paradise, full of plants with big east and south facing windows. The house is carpeted, so we don’t wear shoes inside.
We are right next to the Fern Ridge bike path! Such a treat on sunny days.
This is the wetlands, so it gets real muddy out here. And there’s critters, like mice and rats, which can create real chaos in our lives.
Still with me? Ok.
The Animals:
Currently there’s 3 cats, my 8 month old German Shepherd, and a shit ton of birds in the yard.
Potential Pets:
I am open to renting to someone with a cat or dog or other….as long as it is well-behaved and they take care of fleas and take on extra vacuuming duties.
Me:
My name’s Lacy, I’m 38 and I’ve lived out here for a little over 5 years. I am what one might call the “head tenant” renting the home and subleasing rooms to the other folks, communicating with the landlord and dealing with rent/bills.
The Others:
The other housemates are pretty chill….We’ve got Mak (…25?), Tali (26?), and Zach (37?). We maintain a roommate group chat for mass communication. The only thing side A & B share is the utility room, where the washer/dryer, extra bathroom, and “beverage fridge” are located.
Recycling and composting are nonnegotiable parts of living here. The kitchen has a receptacle for trash, commingled recycling, cans/bottles with deposit, and a bucket for compost. The compost bin is located outside near the garden.
