M&T Discount Outlet is currently accepting applicants for Customer Service in the HomeGoods Dept.
Our Retail Customer Service Associate is the primary point of contact for shoppers, responsible for driving sales, processing transactions, and ensuring an inviting store environment. They answer questions, resolve complaints, and actively maintain product displays to ensure customer satisfaction and brand loyalty
Core Responsibilities
• Customer Engagement: Greet customers, assist them in finding specific products, and offer expert recommendations or alternatives based on their needs.
• Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, de-escalate conflicts, and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
• Store Maintenance: Stock shelves, organize displays, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, safe sales floor.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on current merchandise, store layouts, promotional events, and loyalty programs to better serve customers.
• Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, approachable demeanor and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
• Problem-Solving: The capacity to think quickly on your feet to resolve discrepancies and address customer needs.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift/move moderately heavy items (typically 15-50 lbs).
Approximately 40 hours/week
Day shift
WEEKENDS REQUIRED
$19.00 per hour
**Must pass drug screening & background checks**
Paid Holidays after 180 days.
1 week paid Vacation after 1 year
