Metco Investment Realty, a locally owned property management company, is seeking a maintenance professional for properties throughout Eugene/Springfield/Lane County area. This is not an onsite maintenance position. Open until filled.
In this role, you will conduct general property repair and maintenance tasks across multiple properties. This requires knowledge of common property issues including basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and drywall repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Preform general and preventative repair and maintenance. Troubleshoot issues that may not have a straight forward repair
- Turn-Overs and Vacancies - perform repairs and improvements of vacant units for a made ready status within scheduled time
-Complete maintenance work orders in occupied units
-Basic plumbing and electrical
-Screen repair/replacement
-Rekey locks as needed
-Painting
-Drywall repair
-Unit clean outs
-Grounds/Porter services as needed
-Other related maintenance/property management activities when required.
This role requires excellent time management skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills to maintain and improve our high standards of service. You must have a strong understanding of basic maintenance while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Other qualifications include:
-Minimum three years of property maintenance experience or equivalent
-Work both independently and as a team member
-Knowledge of correct operation of basic hand and power tools
-Be efficient and able to plan and meet deadlines
-Able to work with little supervision
-Maintain accurate daily records of all work performed.
-Working knowledge of common appliances and basic maintenance processes
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
-Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured under our auto insurance
-Must pass criminal background check upon job offer
-Own basic hand tools
This position is full-time 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday 8-5 with an occasional weekend, evening, and holidays (on-call emergencies). Benefits include employee medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance after 60 days.
The right candidate needs to demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure that all repairs are handled in a timely and appropriate manner while providing excellent service for our tenants and owners. The position is assigned various maintenance tasks for residential and commercial rentals.
