This 3-speed tranny came out of a 1967 6-cylinder Mustang owned by a good friend who swapped it out for an automatic. He purchased the car in '02 or '03, making the change shortly after. He then moved to Oregon in 2007, bringing the 3-speed with him so his parents could store it for him up here. It was wrapped in paper and a cardboard box and has been that way since, stored in their backyard shed.

The pictures here were taken recently and though there is some rust and oil residue on various exposed surfaces, the shaft rotates easily by hand. And when I attached the shifter, I was able to change gears while hand-rotating the shaft from the front. To my knowledge, the gearbox has never been opened since it was removed from the Mustang.

• The gearbox is just over 24" long plus 6.5" including the drive shaft
• Labeling on the tail housing (image) appears to be Sheffield C4DR 7A040-B and though the small data plate on the main housing is rusty and hard to read (image), I can make out K075703.
• The transmission is currently at the owner's home, a few minutes away, so if you're interested, we'll set up a time with her to see it.
