The Andersen Ultimate is the lightest 5th Wheel hitch on the market. This one only weights 35 pounds. It converts a center bed gooseneck ball to pull a 5th wheel trailer. It is rated to pull over 12 tons of trailer with up to 4500 lbs. of ton weight. This makes it useable with most 5th wheel trailers on the market. New this hitch cost over $1200.
This hitch is fully articulating. In fact you can hook up at a 90 degree angle over a bed rail and pull the trailer out with no issues. This is not something you can do with a normal 5th wheel hitch. Let's face it. Normal 5th wheel hitches weigh over 200 lbs. and are rarely removed so you lose your pickup bed. This Andersen Hitch is easy to remove so you can still use your pickup bed for other needs.
I sold my 5th wheel trailer and do not plan on another. I was more than satisfied with this hitch and put it on and off multiple times a year. It took less than 5 minutes each time.
