Hello, my name is Ben. I started watching dogs in March while I was waiting for a graduate program to start in August. I am currently only taking on one client at a time with up to 2 dogs. My goal is to help out dog owners that want a person who can care for their dog(s) similar to the way I care for my own dog, while they are gone on vacations, short trips, and have other commitments.
I take my dog to walk at least 2 times every day for overall 1 to 2 hours. I also take my dog to swim at a nearby creek at least 3 o 4 times a week depends on weather in summer. In addition, I take my dog to an open field park so she can run, 2 or 3 times per week. In order for me to be able to provide this quality care, you dog must be cat friendly(not aggressive with cats or other small animals) and can not be aggressive toward other dogs
My dog is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller). This is small hunting dog originally from Canada. She has a rare genetic disorder called EPI. It is not contagious, but does require daily medication, so I have some experience with pets with special needs.
Our house is a certified therapeutic foster family through DHS and provides respite care on weekends when needed. We are required to do finger print and back ground check annually. We have a fully fenced back yard.
The rate I charge is $30 for one dog and $40 for 2 dogs for 24 hours of dog boarding and/or house sitting, which includes daily walks (just not in the pouring rain).
