The Vida Mckenzie Community Center (VMCC) is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and community-minded Senior Center Program Coordinator. The Senior Center offers community members a once-a-week lunch and program every Tuesday.
The right candidate will plan and coordinate enrichment activities and guest speakers aligned with senior interest, build relationships with local presenters, community members, and partner organizations. Also curate programming that supports connection, learning, and community history when appropriate.
We are looking for a person who can coordinate the weekly lunch program, including logistics, flow and communication, ensure consistent, welcoming programs each Tuesday, submit monthly invoices for contracted services and approved supplies, and provide a brief monthly program recap for the VMCC communications and newsletter use.
This is a part-time position of 5 hours per week. Tuesday availability is required.
Applicant must possess or willing to obtain a current Oregon Food Handler's card within 14 days of the agreed-upon start date, in accordance with kitchen and food safety requirements.
Must be reliable and respectful to all guests and communicate with VMCC leadership.
Must be able to pass a background check.
This is an Ongoing Contracted role (1099 Independent Contractor), and you must have your own Workers Compensation insurance
or be able to provide it with 14 days of agreed-upon start date.
