The Outreach Coordinator serves as a liaison between Kairos programs and the broader community. This position is based at Lane County Services in Eugene, Oregon, and is part of the Development Team, reporting to the Director of Development. The Outreach Coordinator works closely with Outpatient Clinics and Residential Treatment Homes (RTHs), to support community outreach and events.
This role is responsible for researching, organizing, and supporting outreach events; coordinating communication with community partners; and representing Kairos in public forums to advance networking, and community engagement.
Education And Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field preferred. Three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency required in written and interpersonal communication skills and Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Preference given to candidates with behavioral health industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Provide proof of current, valid Oregon Driver's License (or if out-of-state will obtain Oregon license within 30 days), comprehensive automobile insurance (if applicable) and a safe driving record (minimum of 3 yrs.) to use company or personal vehicle for required duties.
Successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and Medicaid Fraud Check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners and internal Kairos departments.
Participate in community partner meetings, workgroups, and networking events as an ambassador for Kairos’ services and mission.
Research, organize, and attend community outreach events to recruit staff and Treatment Foster Parents and to share information about accessing services.
Conduct informational presentations for community partners as assigned.
Provide accurate and consistent program information to community partners in a variety of formats and settings.
Assist with identifying new donor and community partner leads through tabling, outreach events, and public engagements, and share relevant information with the Development Team.
Consistently meet program documentation requirements related to outreach activities and outcomes.
Collect and analyze local demographic data and present findings to program leadership to inform quality improvement efforts.
Demonstrate alignment with the agency’s clinical model and philosophy in interactions with youth and young adults, families, staff, and community partners.
Adhere to ethical codes, mission, values, and professional standards, including confidentiality requirements.
Actively utilize and follow agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and respectful interactions with youth and young adults, families, staff, visitors, and community partners.
