Hi, we are two friends who have been playing together 5+ years, our previous project ended recently and we are starting a new band with a good amount of song ideas ready to go. We have a practice space, PA, bass amp and recording gear. We are looking to play shows regularly and do some light touring as well as recording.
We are looking for a bass or guitar player who can commit to practicing weekly or semi-weekly, preferably with some familiarity with odd times/patterns, improvising and some music theory experience but being able to play the music is the most important thing.
We're both late 20's/early 30's, LGBTQ+ friendly is a must. Some bands we like are Deafheaven, Cynic, Dillinger, Circle Takes the Square and Black Dresses, as well as a lot of jazz fusion like Hiromi Uehara, Tigran Hamasyan, Headhunters, etc.
