Virtually certain this is an original case for a 'Q Series' guitar. It has a plush burgundy interior in great condition that features three foam pads and three storage compartments (two open, one with lid). Two of the plush-covered pads are on the lid, and they fit over the bridge and neck; the third is sort of a ramp under the body of the guitar, starting low at the body's narrowest spot and getting taller moving toward the neck.
Overall case length is 42" X 15.5" deep X 4 1/2" tall; inside, the body cavity is 19.5" long by 12.75" at its widest and 8.5" at its narrowest.
Case is sound all around: No structural problems to the body, corners, lid, etc; all three latches work, and the outer two have hasps for locks; hinges work fine; handle is intact; interior is in very good/excellent shape.
This is NOT to say, tho, that the piece is in 'as new' condition -- the exterior has just enough 'honest wear' to give this ~40-year-old case the cred it deserves. Namely: There's plating loss and minor surface oxidation to most of the metal components; the corners have surface losses, as do many of the edges, particularly the back edge on the hinges side (see pix 5 and 6); and, near the middle of the back (the non-'GIBSON' side) there's a longish scratch (~9", much of it faint), with a 1.5" X 2" area that tore and was glued down -- see pic #7. All of this wear is minor, IMO, and most of it is hard-to-spot until you get up close.
