I’m selling my Oberheim OB-12 which is not really an Oberheim. Gibson who owned the Oberheim name at the time licensed the name to Viscount, the Italian makers of organs.
This is a monster of a VA synth. 12 voices. 2 Ocs/voice. 256 programs with each program containing up to 4 parts so you can divide the keyboard in to 4 zones. 256 timbres to modify and memorize. Includes an automated system to configure arpeggio as well as a phrase recorder.
Enough with the basic synth descriptions. If you want to know more, it’s all on line.
Here is one of the more famous demos by Jexus.

Why the Oberheim OB-12 is so hated…or loved? (again, it’s not an Oberheim)

About mine: I purchased mine used around 20 years ago. The cosmetic issues on the sides you see in the photos were from the original owner. This has remained in my smoke-free studio the entire time. I made the purchase based on some very unique patches, that I could not replicate with any other synth at that time. Translation: I used it very little!
And, I made a horrible mistake. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE! I did, and I had to have the circuit board replaced. You will note other comments in the Jexus video saying the same thing. Since the display was becoming more weak, I also told the tech to replace the display. Unfortunately, he said there was no blue display available, so he had to replace it with a green display.
Again, this is a green display, but the good news is that since that time 20 years ago, I have hardly used the synth. It just sat with a cover in my studio.
I have tested it and everything still works to my knowledge. All keys play, and controls appear to work. Please only ask easy questions, because I have not used this in any productions for years. Comes with a photo copy notebook manual.
