I was impressed by some demo recordings that were posted on a vocal forum. I asked the artist what audio interface he was using. It was this unit. So I bought it. Fast forward, and now I have moved into the UAD Apollo realm, and so I'm no longer using this unit.
It has 4 mic/line combo inputs on the front panel, and 4 line outputs on the back, as well as a headphone output. There are also midi in and midi out connectors on the back. There are two USB connectors on the back, and one of the more unique features is that you can connect to both MAC and PC... At the same time, I believe. I'm a PC guy, so I've never had occasion to try that, but it's supposedly a feature of the iconnects, hence the name iConnect. Above the USB connectors, one shows an iPhone icon, and the other shows a PC. Go figure. There is also a connector for "Host", but that's above my level of expertise. These are selling for about $400 new on Reverb, and around $250 for used ones.
