Gretsch G6121 Roundup MIJ — trade for high-end acoustic
Putting feelers out on my Gretsch G6121 Roundup, made in Japan, Western Maple Stain finish. This is the solid/chambered single-cut Roundup model, not the larger 6120 hollowbody.
Western inlays, Bigsby, gold hardware, Filter’Tron-style pickups, orange/western maple finish, and original hard case included.
I’m mainly looking to trade toward a high-quality acoustic, especially something good for fingerstyle / Travis picking. Interested in Huss & Dalton, Martin, Taylor, Gibson, Collings, Santa Cruz, Bourgeois, Eastman, etc. Open to cash either direction for the right guitar.
Condition is good overall with normal cosmetic wear. There are surface scratches/marks mostly on the back, plus some wear on the back plates and hardware. I tried to show the wear clearly in the photos. Nothing structural that I’m aware of. The guitar is fully playable and sounds great.
Trade value: around $2,300.
Cash price: $2,300 OBO, but trades are preferred.
Not interested in low-end acoustics or bundles of cheaper gear. Not in a rush to get rid of this or it was kinda a gift and pretty sentimental. Only trading it because I need a nice acoustic for the direction I’m going musically.
