Steel Fabrication company is seeking a motivated and organized Shipping Department Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive on-time production performance.
Pay rate - $25.00hr
730am - 400pm Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily shipping department operations
Schedule production, allocate resources, and ensure shift readiness
Lead, train, and develop department employees and team leads
Monitor productivity, labor hours, inventory, and packaging efficiency
Ensure quality control, accurate paperwork, and on-time project completion
Collaborate with engineering and other departments to improve workflow and reduce waste
Maintain equipment, safety standards, and department organization
Assist with hiring, employee evaluations, and workforce management
Qualifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read blueprints/prints
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Basic computer and math skills
Forklift certification required
Manufacturing or shipping supervision experience preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment that may be noisy, dusty, and temperature-variable. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and work on a concrete shop floor throughout the shift.
