Up for sale is a 2009 Kawasaki ER6n with a clean title in hand Purchased from MotoCorsa in Portland. It has 22,xxx miles on the odometer. I used this bike for commuting for 2 years and still ride it occasionally, so miles may go up. I have another naked and I am selling this and eventually my Triumph to get a dual sport. I am open to trades if it is a dual sport or a plated dirt bike. This bike has been great and a lot of fun. There are some things to note, however. So, if you want a perfect, blemish free bike, this one is not for you.

Here is a link to a review and specs of the bike: https://ridermagazine.com/2009/07/17/2009-kawasaki-er-6n-road-test/

The Good
It is basically a naked Ninja 650R, so the bike is extremely reliable, great for any experience level, easy to maintain, cheap to insure ($25 full coverage with State Farm), and parts are readily available. Tires have around 1000ish miles on them (Dunlop Roadsmart 3s – great in the rain). Spark plugs and air filter replaced about a 1000 miles or so ago. It is a fun bike. I replaced the clutch cable last year.

Neutral
It has drag bars on it and a Two Brothers exhaust. The riding position is a bit more aggressive than the stock upright bars—it is still comfortable to ride all day on, though. The exhaust is LOUD. This is my biggest issue with the bike. I am sure you can find a cheap stock can on eBay, I haven’t looked.

The Bad
I have laid her down twice in the snow at slow speeds. There are some scuffs and scratches on both sides on the fairings and bar end mirrors—I made sure to include pictures. I had to commute rain or shine. There is a very slow oil leak (check out pics before and after wash). I think there is a hairline crack/chip on pan. It never bothered me enough to fix it or throw some JB Weld on it. The replacement pan is cheap. I have some extreme heat JB Weld I can use when I change the oil.

Extras
Included are some new Galfer steel braided lines (paid $141) I haven’t got around to swapping out. I have front and rear stands from GPI Industries (paid $200ish), and a Motion Pro tire balancer (paid $110).
If you have any questions, shoot me an email. I am not in a hurry to sell so please don’t waste my time as I made it clear of the issues with the bike. If the ad is still up, the bike is available.
Shiny side up!
-Kevin
