Trek bike with broken seat post, frame issue
Weird story.
I'm on my OWN bike to the beer store, and this car almost hits me, and I shout "Stay in your lane!"
Then I see this guy off my right, who is lookin' at me like I was yelling at HIM.
On my way back, I stop at him to apologize. I ask if he's OK.
"No, I'm not okay! I just bought this bike for $250" and it's BROKE"
And me, I'm an alcoholic. The friendly kind. I'm all bro, let's take a look at it.
So, I understand that he is upset. I want to go home and drink beer, barely a block away.
He says he'll pay me $150 for MY bike, and I'm like... "Yeah sounds good"
(I bought it for $125 about 7 years ago)
So we get upstairs, I hand him a beer, and we go on my back porch to shoot the shit and relax with a smoke.
He becomes a bit irate, when he understands I'm filtering his bullshit, but I'm no social worker. I'm just a dude tryin' to help another dude.
He says he has to leave, so I grab my channel pliers and go downstairs to try and un-fuck his bike.
"Man, I gotta go." He says
Me: "Dude it's rideable!"
Him: "It's your bike now."
aaaand he just keeps walking.
I don't want to be in possession of stolen items, and after calling a bike shop, the only help they could legally give me was that the frame size was WAYYYYY too small for the dude that walked away from it
So if you have a pic or accurate description of a stolen bike, I would gladly return it to you. Otherwise I'm going to wait until monday to see what EPD says, and if everything checks out, I'm going to part it out.
