Job Summary:
We are seeking an Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, housekeeping management, or related fields. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in various settings.
I am expanding my professional organizing and home management team. I own and run Friendly Home Services, I am looking to hire 1-3 people part time. This job would start as project based/ part time. I intend to expand my business and the right candidates could eventually make up to full time hours with opportunities to grow their position with the company in different directions based on skill and desired work

Position 1 -Large Project Organization Assistant
Pay starts at 20/hr independent contractor
The first gig I would like this person to be available for is August 5-9 from approx 9am-3pm each day. Might not be needed every day, hours are somewhat flexible for this gig. Ideally this person would have relatively open daytime availability in general and available to take on more projects as they come up. After this first job there is no guarantee of additional work. But if we work together well there will be opportunities as I expand over the next few months. The ideal candidate would have experience with cleaning/ organizing or have a personal knack for it. Would be good at talking direction and learning on their feet, and knows they can handle themselves well in tense situations. They also have progressive values and enjoy working with queer and neurodivergent families. They also need to be covid conscious and willing to wear a mask at all jobs. The job will also be physically demanding and it would be best suited for someone able bodied enough to work physically all day and be able to carry medium to large objects up and down stairs. If this person also has cleaning experience they can also apply for Position 2 which offers more steady work sooner. A rate increase would be available to those who work regularly and are able to demonstrate appropriate skills and availability.

Position 2 - Housekeeping Plus
Pay starts at 20/hr independent contractor
This position runs more along the lines of housekeeping, but requires a little more than most general housekeeping positions. With detail oriented cleaning at the forefront, as well as regular pick up and put away, possible intermittent assistance with small one time decluttering projects as needed, or possibly other specific services like meal prep or laundry. As well as adhering to organizational systems in place. These are usually clients who have gone through a decluttering organizing process and just need help maintaining as well as getting regular cleanings of their home. The ideal candidate would have a variety of skills and experience with cleaning/ organizing or have a personal knack for it. Would be good at talking direction and learning on their feet, and knows they can handle themselves well in tense situations. They also have progressive values and enjoy working with queer and neurodivergent families. They also need to be covid conscious and willing to wear a mask at all jobs. The job will also be physically demanding and it would be best suited for someone able bodied enough to work physically on their feet for up to 7 hours, including bending over and carrying / putting away light to medium objects. This position would require a regular time commitment for regularly scheduled appointments. These times and days are somewhat flexible, the candidate would start with training for 4-6 appointments, this can take 2 or 4 weeks depending on availability. I would then start you at 4- 6 appointments a month ( 2 -3 clients, each every other week visits) starting as early as September, with the option to take on more clients once they have completed 12 appointments to full customer satisfaction. Rate increase available after 3 month/ 12 appointment period.
If you feel you are a suitable candidate for both roles, I would love to consider one candidate to give both kinds of work based on availability and skill level. I am also interested in speaking to people who would be interested in being back up or on call for either type of work based on availability. I hope to have more opportunities over the next few months so even if you can't work right away, please reach out so I can get to know you and have you on deck when opportunities arise.
