JOIN LANE COUNTY'S LEADING LANDSCAPE SUPPLIER! Lane Forest Products has a Seasonal full time opening for a Garden Center Associate position at our Corner Store nursery location in Glenwood.
Our team focuses on quality with an emphasis on customer service. If you’re a person who has at least 3 years nursery or garden center experience, this may be the perfect job for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Provide friendly customer service and ensure customer needs are being met
*Assist customers with plant selections
*Advise customers about plant care, watering and fertilizing best practices
*Display trees, shrubs and accessories in retail garden center
*Ensure the retail yard is stocked with sufficient quantities of merchandise
*Assist in ordering and receiving merchandise
*Accurate Cash handling
*Operate Forklift, Front End Loader
*Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
*3 years of nursery or retail garden center experience
*Working knowledge of inventory management including buying, appropriate in-stock levels, and retail pricing preferred.
*Must have the ability to operate a Forklift and a Front-End Loader (training provided)
*Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
