Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 7:30am-4pm.
Starting Pay: $25.00+ DOE
Position Summary:
The Breakout Operator is responsible for safely removing beams from storage racks, preparing materials for production, and supporting daily yard and warehouse operations. This position requires heavy lifting, operation of overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided), use of power tools, and strict adherence to all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn equipment operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Read and follow lock-up schedules to identify and retrieve required materials.
*Break out beams from storage racks and prepare them for processing.
*Operate overhead cranes to move beams onto rollers for transport outside the facility.
*Assist with forklift operations to transport and stack materials in designated outdoor storage areas (forklift experience preferred but not required).
*Use power tools, including a 30-pound impact gun, to remove rods and perform related tasks.
*Trim beams as needed to support Quality Control (QC) and production requirements for the following shift.
*Return fill boards to the cold board rack after use.
*Perform setup and cleanup activities before and after production runs.
*Clean sawdust and debris from work areas to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
*Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
*Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
*Ability to read and understand production schedules and work instructions.
*Willingness to learn forklift and overhead crane operation (Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required.)
*Experience using power tools is preferred.
*Strong commitment to workplace safety.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
*Ability to safely operate and handle a 30-pound impact gun.
*Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
*Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to sawdust, noise, and changing temperatures.

Manufacturing and warehouse setting:
*Exposure to sawdust, moving equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
*Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, proper footwear, and other required safety gear.
