Eugene, OR | Full-Time

âť—Our Mission:
Independent Environments, Inc. (IEI) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist people with developmental disabilities to live happy and healthy lives by fully participating in home, community and family life every day. We provide 24-hour residential services rooted in dignity, respect, and person-centered care.
We are currently seeking a Program Manager to lead and support one or more 24-hour residential programs. This role is ideal for someone who believes deeply in people, values strong teams, and wants to make a lasting difference—whether you’re an experienced leader or a dedicated support professional ready to take the next step in your career.
If you care about doing work that truly matters, we’d love to meet you.
🤝What You’ll Do:
As a Program Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of residential homes while supporting both the people who live there and the teams who support them. You’ll be a leader, problem-solver, mentor, and advocate—sometimes all in the same day.
Your work will include:
- Ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that support health, safety, independence, and quality of life
- Leading, coaching, and supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
- Creating welcoming homes where people feel respected, safe, and at ease
- Managing staffing, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure 24/7 coverage
- Supporting Individual Support Plans (ISPs), documentation, and outcomes
- Preparing homes and teams for licensing, compliance, and other reviews
- Hiring, onboarding, training, and developing staff
- Responding to on-call needs and stepping in to provide direct support when necessary
- Collaborating with families, case managers, and internal teams
- Promoting IEI’s Mission, Vision, and Values in everything you do
This is a hands-on leadership role. While much of your work is supervisory, Program Managers also provide direct support as needed and are active, visible leaders in the homes they manage.

- Can stay calm and solution-focused when unexpected situations arise
- Are organized, flexible, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Value teamwork, transparency, and continuous learning
