I make sure there is over a pound of worms in each order. One pound of worms consume ½lb food a day. One pound is about 1,000 worms. These worms are very happy in a controlled temp environment so they lay lots of eggs. They also maintain their own population. I keep my worms indoor so there are not outside bugs ofher than a few fruit flies. These are happy healthy red wigglers.
