Alpaca Manure Plant Food
This is a perfect time to fertilize/soil amendment. Alpaca manure is commonly referred to as Black Gold because of their marvelous digestive system, having three chambers in their stomachs. It takes 50 hours to fully utilize their food intake resulting in bean-shaped pellets. We pick up the manure daily and put it in bags. Since the manure pellets are not dry yet it breaks down right away so you can put the manure on your plants as is and use a hose to wash it into the soil. Its more of a clump instead of pellets. Alpacas are one of nature's composters as their manure can be placed directly on and around even your most delicate plants. They do not give any seeds the opportunity to germinate. Alpaca manure is lower in organic matter content than the manure from most other livestock such as cows, horses, goats & sheep, yet it is perfect enough to improve soil texture and water holding capacities. Good soil health will reduce disease and pest problems. It does not need to be composted before using, or aged or cured. It will not burn your plants. It continuously feeds the plants as it can be mixed in with the soil or placed around your plants. The nitrogen & potassium levels are high. Phosphorus is relatively low (as most livestock manure). The calcium and magnesium content is about average. Alpaca manure is said to be one of the richest organic fertilizers available. Alpaca manure adds organic materials to the soil and promotes the growth of microorganisms, both of which are beneficial to plants. For seedlings make an Alpaca Tea. Mix 1/3 cup alpaca pellets with 2/3 cup water and let sit 3 -24 hours. Within 24 hours of the first application you will see a noticeable change in your seedlings. By the end of the first week the seedlings will have started to grow considerably. Mix up some Alpaca Tea to deter deer from your garden! It is said to be a very effective deer repellent. Do not use on acid loving plants. A Peaceful Sanctuary,- The Farm, 203 Deadmond Ferry Rd, Spfld, OR 97477 No drop ins please.

I got a late start getting my tomatoes and flowers planted this year because it was raining into June. I have over 100 cherry tomatoes on my plant and pick more than a dozen tomatoes a day. I planted these sunflowers from seed the middle of June and you can see how well they do with Alpaca manure. I am 5'2" to give you an idea on how tall they are! I have a bumper crop again.
Now is a great time to put the alpaca soil amendment in your Earth for winter crops and for those bumper crops.
If you put the manure down and let it set over the winter it turns into this wonderful crumbly rich dirt like the picture.
We have a special right now. Purchase 5 bags and get the 6th bag free!
