It's transplant time! Native polystitchum minutum, also called the "Sword," or "Christmas fern."
Large bareroot clumps $25 or 5 for $100. Free local delivery for 20 - 50. ($25 each with delivery outside area.)
These are mature, large habit plants that grow several feet high and wide, but can be trained to be dwarfed.
Ferns are very hardy plants and can be transplanted most times of the year, and although they shed some fronds each year, transplanting now ensures minimal loss.
The sheer number of new fronds can be staggering. (And they are edible!)
We also have a limited number of dwarfed ferns in gallon pots for $15 each. These make excellent foreground plantings or stand alones to enliven small, difficult spaces.
Flats of moss, $20. Mixed native club and feather species.
We are Noble Ridge Tree Farm, primarily a family-owned Christmas tree farm established in 1965 but practice sustainable farming methods such as salvaging plants rather than poisoning or destroying them,
Located just a few miles from Fern Ridge Lake on Lawrence Road, we are planning on being open most Saturday afternoons through this spring. Please call ahead for more information and directions.
Bring a bucket for free compost!
