$300: 2-box Warré Beehive, unpainted roof, bee boxes oiled with several coats of 100% natural raw tung oil
$340 : 2-box Warré Beehive, roof painted sky blue with Sherwin Williams Exterior Latex, Duration. Bee boxes oiled with several coats of 100% natural raw tung oil,

Hive Includes:
1 x Floor Board with landing pad. Sloped entrance to allow smoother transition for bees.
2 x Redwood Bee Boxes. Boxes are a full 1 inch thick, for extra winter protection. Top bars. Handles. Portholes with poplar bungs. Inner surface of boxes have a rough surface to encourage the bees to coat with propolis (as they would in a hollow tree)
1 x Burlap Cover Cloth
1 x Quilt Box filled with redwood planer shavings
1 x Gable Roof

If you decide to oil your own boxes or paint your own roof, some tips:
Oiling your own boxes requires a heated space, usually takes 2 months to fully cure and the smell to dissipate. 50:50 100% Raw Tung oil and Turpentine (or Citrus Solvent from Real Milk Paint).
Painting your own roof: Days and nights above 40 degrees. 1 week and ready to go. I put on 1 coat primer and then 2 coats exterior latex. 3rd coat touch ups as needed.

Once populated, this hive is fully equipped for a colony's entire lifetime. Additional boxes may be added if you'd like a larger colony or a honey harvest, but it's not necessary.
I provide support for many natural beekeepers in Lane County. Warré beekeepers, as well as Horizontal Top Bar (Kenyan) and Langstroth.
