Coco husk chips are virtually impossible to find in Eugene, these may be the only ones for sale.
New, sealed bricks (each one can expand to about 7 quarts). TWO for $12 or FOUR for $20 (very limited supply).
This coconut husk substrate has been screened and rinsed, is low EC and pH balanced. Mostly chips - the amount of loose coir is minimal. The fiber is lightweight and breathable, providing vital oxygen to plant roots, making it an great medium for absorbing more nutrients and accelerating plant growth.
Simple to use - place the brick in a container and add enough water to soak, then squeeze out the excess water. Chips absorb 4–6 times their weight in water and release it slowly, providing consistent moisture for plants; its porous structure ensures excellent root oxygen flow, drains excess water, and helps prevent waterlogging and root rot.
