Our eggs range in size and color from a chicken egg to a triple yolker that will fill the palm of your hand. Egg colors change every day just as we females change our minds everyday. They can be white, pink, green, charcoal, even an occasional blue. They will be some of the best eggs you have eaten. Duck eggs in general, are larger, tender, have more protein and nutrients than a chicken egg. Their egg shells are significantly thicker than a chicken egg. Thus if you enjoy scrolling or decorating blown eggs for ornaments, you will love working with these eggs.
We offer chicken eggs as well , their are just not as many right now as a few of our ladies are molting and felling a bit embarrassed... lol. Our chickens enjoy all the same privileges as the ducks except they do not enjoy daily gossip sessions in the pond. They tend to enjoy a lovely dust bath.
Cost per dozen:
Weekly subscription rate for Duck $7.
Chicken $4.
Call in or Drop in rate for Duck $10.
Chicken $5.
I do not wash the eggs normally because they stay fresh longer with more nutrients if you do not. If you would like your eggs washed in a lovely bath of diluted iodine and water before you arrive, just let us know. We are happy to accommodate you.
