We are currently seeking applicants for United States Probation Officers to be stationed in Eugene, Oregon.
The U.S. Probation Officer, under the general supervision of the Chief Probation Officer or Supervisory Probation Officer, conducts investigations, makes recommendations to the Court for sentencing of individuals convicted of federal offenses, and supervises individuals who are sentenced to probation and/or released from federal/military prison. Officers may be assigned to presentence or supervision roles.
This position is in the Court Personnel System and classified at a Classification Level 25 – Classification Level 28 ($50,927 - $115,213 annual salary), depending on education, qualifications, and work experience.
