LOCATION: Clear Lake Resort located in the Willamette National Forest off of Hwy. 126.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: A person employed in this classification must possess the capability to perform the following duties to be considered for this position. The duties are essential functions requiring the critical skills and expertise needed to meet job objectives.
• Manage operations of resort facilities to include lodge retail space, restaurant, cabins/yurts and boat rentals. Work with vendors to include purchasing food for the restaurant and items for retail sales in the lodge; manage inventory.
• Work with and supervise work activities of temporary seasonal employees including kitchen staff; assign duties and evaluate work results.
• Perform general park maintenance including cleaning and restocking restroom facilities; collecting and depositing garbage into receptacles; cleaning cabins and yurts; maintaining the kitchen to the standards of the Linn County Health Department; cleaning park grounds; picking up litter; removing leaves; trimming shrubs and trees; repairing vandalized park facilities.
• Start and stop generators at required hours; fuel generators; service generators.
• Employees will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Employees will be required to work on three holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).
• Operate a bobcat and other County vehicles for snow removal; maintain roads/walkways for safety of guests and staff.
• Construct Park buildings, trails, picnic tables, benches, footbridges, fire pits and signs; develop landscapes; install restroom fixtures, lights, etc.
• Develop and maintain effective, harmonious and reasonable work relationships with others; proven leader.
• Maintain regular and predictable work attendance.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
• Must be able to operate a point-of-sale operating system and make accurate change for purchases.
• Considerable knowledge of the rules and regulations governing park activities.
• Ability to enforce park rules and regulations, County Code and document enforcement actions.
• Knowledge of safety and health regulations relating to park operations and food handling/preparation.
• Considerable knowledge of park operations including sewer, water and electrical systems and emergency controls.
• Considerable knowledge of the materials, tools and equipment used in park maintenance and construction.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and small equipment.
• Ability to perform general maintenance to park buildings and facilities; perform janitorial services, including the use of chemicals.
• Ability to perform construction trades preferred, i.e. masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding and painting.
• Ability to follow directions, manage multiple tasks to parks standards and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to organize and schedule work tasks; work independently; problem solve; be proactive.
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive forward and overhead reaching. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. and push objects weighing up to 90 pounds; ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time. Work is generally performed outside in all weather conditions.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
• Two years of experience in parks and/or resort operations or any satisfactory equivalent of experience, education and training, which demonstrate the ability to perform the work described.
• Prior restaurant/retail experience preferred.
• Graduation from high school or possession of the equivalent GED Certificate.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to obtain a valid Class B Commercial driver’s license.
• Can obtain a State of Oregon Public pesticides and herbicides application license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be 18 years old at the time of hire.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a First Aid/AED Card and a food handler’s card.
