This bed is made from bamboo wood and is in excellent shape. Assembles/disassembles very easily through snap and locking mechanisms. Mattress is a futon mattress that is firm and comfortable (IMO). You can take it or not -- doesn't change the price. Smoke free home, no damage to bed or mattress.
