Beautiful curved front four-drawer dresser in Tiger Oak with claw front feet and attached bezel mirror.
This antique has been in my family here in Eugene since 1974. Needs a little TLC with tightening the drawer pulls and some reinforcement of the drawer bottoms. Otherwise, for its age, in excellent used condition.
Details:
• Quarter-sawn oak (“tiger oak”) grain – very popular in the 1900–1915 period
• Serpentine (curved) drawer fronts – common in turn-of-the-century American furniture
• Claw feet – used in late Victorian and revival styles
• Attached mirror with curved support arms
• Simple wooden knobs – often seen on mass-produced early 1900s pieces
• Dovetail joints
• Relatively thin drawer sides
• Quarter-sawn oak front with solid secondary wood (likely poplar) sides
Vintage early 1900s piece, not a reproduction.
