The Vida Mckenzie Community Center (VMCC) is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and community-minded Part-time Senior Center Program Cook. The Senior Center offers community members a once-a-week lunch and program every Tuesday.
The right candidate will plan and prepare a weekly lunch, assist with serving and then clean up for approximately 12-25 senior participants each Tuesday.
We are looking for a person who can coordinate the weekly lunch, working with the Senior Center Program Coordinator in a manner that contributes to a welcoming and respectful community environment.
This is a part-time position of 5 hours per week. Tuesday availability is required.
Applicant must possess or willing to obtain a current Oregon Food Handler's card within 14 days of the agreed-upon start date, in accordance with kitchen and food safety requirements.
Must have experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Must be reliable and respectful to all guests and communicate with VMCC leadership.
Must be able to pass a background check.
This is an Ongoing Contracted role (1099 Independent Contractor), and you must have your own Workers Compensation insurance
or be able to provide it with 14 days of agreed-upon start date.
