LOCATION: Clear Lake Resort, located in the Willamette National Forest off Hwy. 126
CLASSIFICATION CATEGORY: Seasonal Temporary, Non-Benefited Position working up to 40 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
• Prepare all menu items in a timely manner and meet the required standards of taste and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Ensure the cleanliness of grills, broilers, fryers, burners, ovens and refrigeration equipment.
• Comply with all food safety requirements such as checking and maintaining temperature, dating and labelling products, rotating products so that the oldest is used first.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely meal preparations.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
• Must be able to operate Point of Sale System; make change and balance register.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, lodge and outdoor seating area.
• Must be able to communicate in a respectful and positive manner with management, park rangers, co-workers and guests.
• Maintain regular and predictable work attendance; be proactive; self-starter.
• Other Duties as assigned to accomplish department needs.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
• Prior restaurant & customer service experience.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Food Handlers Card and First Aid/AED card.
• Ability to operate and maintain basic kitchen equipment.
• Foresee problems and proactively communicate with the manager to offer solutions & resolve problems.
• Perform janitorial services, including the use of chemicals.
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive forward and overhead reaching. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. and push objects weighing up to 90lbs; ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be available to work Saturdays, Sunday, and holidays; work shifts may vary.
• Must be willing to live and work in a remote location and work in all weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate from a senior high school or have your GED; possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and pass a criminal background check. Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
SALARY, BENEFITS, COMPENSATION: This is a Seasonal Temporary, Non-Benefited Position; $18.50-$21.00 per hour dependent on experience; furnished housing will be provided, for your designated work shifts, at no cost to you.
CLOSING DATE: Open until filled.
This position is generally 3 to 6 months in duration. This position is for the spring and summer seasons. Position generally begins in mid-May. Interviews will begin in March.
