Viking Brewing is looking for a part time line cook for our food truck, open Thursday-Saturday, 4pm-8:30pm. Located in the industrial district of West Eugene, this location is Viking's original tasting room and brewing facility. With an indoor and outdoor stage, we host local live music every Friday and Saturday night, and it can get busy fast. In the summer, our garden patio is covered by a beautiful canopy of hops and is an oasis for summer drinking, music, and special events.
As we are a small team, line cooks here are versatile, able to help with prep, work the line during service, and interact with customers as they come to pick up their food, which they currently order from the bar inside. A friendly, positive demeanor is important.
Currently, the menu is classic pub fare, including burgers, fries, hot links, and fish and chips. We're always open to changing things up to highlight the strengths and creativity of those operating the food truck. Got a flare for something?
Requirements:
Two or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Cleanly, detail-oriented, can work well with a team or independently
Must have reliable transportation
Have or can quickly obtain Oregon Food Handlers Card
