Compensation: $55-$65K Salary DOE + Health Benefits + Bonus Potential
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our dining experience. In this role, you will oversee all back-of-house operations, manage daily kitchen service, and guide staff to consistently deliver exceptional cuisine. You will also play a key role in menu development while ensuring food quality, efficiency, and labor and cost goals are met.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain control of kitchen operations to ensure that all tasks are carried out effectively and in line with the overarching goals of the restaurant
-Menu creation as needed
-Recipe costing with General Manager to ensure food costs are on target
-Maintain weekly and daily cleaning of premise
-Ensure proper sanitation through follow up, observations, and checklist
-Ensure respectful communication between all staff
-Maintain company policies and procedures
-Ensure prep list is organized and prep is ready when needed
-Manage food ordering and ensure quality of product received
-Ensure quality of product to guests
-Hiring, training and direct supervision of BOH staff
-Creating and maintaining SOPs for position
-Monthly inventory count
Skills and Experience:
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, get along with staff, and foster positive attitudes.
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to lift 80 pounds
-Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
-Vision for the prep execution flow, to ensure completion of all required tasks
-Proven ability to train and develop BOH Staff
-Excellent ability to manage the line at busy time
-Menu & recipe creation
-Strong attention to recipe procedure & food safety procedures
-Strong prep cooking & knife skills
-Food handler’s card
-Reliable transportation
-Basic Excel and Word skills
-Current driver’s license & clean driving record
-1-3 years Head Chef or Kitchen Manager experience required
