Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Hotel Manager to support the daily operations of our hotel. This role involves assisting the Hotel Manager in overseeing staff, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining property standards, and handling administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance coordination
Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly
Supervise, train, and support hotel staff to ensure high performance and professionalism
Help manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs using booking systems
Monitor room availability, occupancy rates, and pricing strategies
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are consistently met
Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, inventory management, and record keeping
Support budgeting, expense tracking, and basic financial reporting
Step in for the Hotel Manager when needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality or business degree preferred)
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or hotel/motel operations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems
Preferred Skills:
Leadership or supervisory experience
Knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance procedures
Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
Working Conditions:
On-site position in a motel environment
May require standing for long periods and occasional lifting
Fast-paced setting with frequent guest interaction
