ONE DAY ONLY! Native American Cultural Event on Saturday March 4th, 2017 from Noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Library. In Memory of Nez Perce Elder Roy Hayes, Jr., great-great grandson of Chief Joseph. Guest storytellers. Crafts people will be on hand to demonstrate various crafting techniques that have been handed down from their Elders. Native craftspeople will be available to answer questions about their art. A variety of feathers will be on hand for people to see and learn about. Materials will be available for anyone wishing to braid their own key chains. Native American regalia, flutes, drums, books, beading and leather work will be on display. Black River Intertribal will be back to sing and drum traditional pow wow songs. Directions from Eugene: Take I-5 south to exit 174; turn right at the end of the exit; veer left at the "Y"; turn right at E. Gibbs to 700 E. Gibbs. Directions from the south: Take I-5 north to exit 174; go right at the end of the exit and go under I-5; veer left at the "Y"; turn right at E. Gibbs to 700 E. Gibbs. Library:
