We have an immediate opening for a HVAC Autocad Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Proficient in CAD, MEP, and Revit software
• Produce fully coordinated shop drawings that are accurate, dimensioned, and clearly understood by field personnel and shop foreman
• Plots shop drawings that meet the standard of the department
• Follows all CAD standards set forth by Department Manager
• Provides necessary documents to Project Managers and Estimators relating to contract changes, equipment buyouts and change orders as requested
• Attends coordination meetings in person or via teleconference with general contractor in a professional manner
• Capable of working as part of a team as well as on an individual basis
• Self-starter, self-motivated with the ability to take the lead in coordinating with other disciplines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:
• Proficient in the reading and understanding of architectural, mechanical and structural drawings
• Produce mechanical equipment space layout drawings considering electrical/mechanical codes and maintenance clearances, coils pull, fan motors access, etc. …
• Comply with equipment manufacturer installation requirements once receiving that document (coils piping, condensate drains, etc.)
• Take into consideration hangers, attachments, etc
• Produce VRF piping layout drawings per manufacturers requirements
• Produce roof curbs & equipment layouts drawings in compliance with NOA, AHCA
• Produce ductwork drawings per SMACNA ductwork standards (metal and fiberglass)
• Transform ductwork sizes to an equivalent duct sizes when needed (familiar with duct calculator)
• Knowledge of HVAC grills/plenums installation requirements
• Knowledge of fire/smoke dampers installation requirements
• Knowledge of electric heaters installation requirements, configurations etc
• Participate in go-to BIM coordination meetings with a positive attitude
• Produce construction drawings ready to be sent to the field including: dimensioned location and elevations of equipment/piping/ductwork, wall/slab penetrations, sleeves, hangers
