Job Title: Part-time PE/Movement Teacher
The Village School is a public charter school serving children in grades K-8th.
Description: The Village School seeks a part-time PE/Movement Teacher for the 2026-27 School Year. This position is 18 hours / week teaching grades 1-8 and with additional time for coordinating and attending extra-curricular athletic events, grading, meetings and professional development.
Qualifications:
• Teaching License or Waldorf experience / certificate preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and motivate children in a positive & constructive manner
• Experience in leading groups of children in physical activities and large group games.
• Knowledge of classroom management skills.
• CPR/First Aid training
• Fingerprinting/Background check required
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
Salary Range: $31.00 - $48.11 per hour, depending on experience and education. Actual pay scale is being negotiated right now, so the final pay level is expected to be higher. Additional variable compensation included. Benefits include disability, PERS, flexible benefits and lunch from our healthy kitchen.
