Overview
Network Charter School is a public charter school authorized by Eugene School District 4J, serving students through flexible, inclusive, and relationship-based programming.
Network Charter School (NCS) is seeking an Assistant Principal to join the administrative leadership team mid-year with the intentional pathway toward transition into the Principal role for the following school year.
Responsibilities
Support instructional leadership, teacher evaluation, and professional development
Assist with staff supervision and coaching aligned with trauma-informed practice
Support student behavior, attendance, and Student Support Team (SST) processes
Assist with school operations, scheduling, coverage, and compliance tasks
Communicate with students, families, and staff to support student success
Participate in shadowing and mentored leadership experiences in preparation for principalship
Skills
Proven experience in education administration with strong management capabilities
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students
Expertise in curriculum development and classroom experience
Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations
Passionate about education with a commitment to fostering academic excellence and student success
Minimum Qualifications
Eligible for Oregon TSPC administrative licensure (or in progress)
Experience in secondary education
Successful completion of a federal background check
Commitment to student-centered, equitable, and restorative practices
Job Term & Hiring Process
This full-time (1.0 FTE) position runs from January through June of the current school year with total compensation of $32,490; summer schedule to be determined. Contingent upon satisfactory performance, the position is intended to transition to the Principal role for the following school year (August–June, salary $59,072.40). The position is probationary with 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations. The job will be posted for four weeks, with interviews conducted in the first and second weeks of January through a two-part process including a panel interview and school-based shadowing.
