Mountain View Academy is a very unique teaching experience, as we have small class sizes, 16 per grade level, and high academic and behavioral standards. We have a Monday – Thursday school week, with monthly field trips happening one Friday per month. Our classrooms are updated, and each classroom is equipped with the latest technology. While we are not a technology school, we believe that because our students are growing up in a technological world, we need to teach and create responsible computer habits within our classrooms. Our salaries are competitive with all local districts, we provide employee only insurance (family options are available for a buy-up), retirement, continuing education funds, as well as a clothing and wellness stipend.
Position specific information:
3 periods of math
1 period of US social studies
1 period of middle school leadership/character education
1 period of an elective class. Examples include: personal finance, foreign language, coding, robotics, art, PE, fishing, etc. Our teachers rotate the elective classes we offer, based on the skills and abilities of our middle school staff.
