I bought this drafting arm years ago at a local school sale and built a 42"x38" drafting surface out of melamine to mount it on. The table has no legs but was made to sit on a dining room table at a comfortable angle by means of a very stable prop system. You can always add some legs if you want as the table is very ridged and would easily support them. The drawing surface is scratch free. (This photo needs to be rotated, it's sitting on one end) I have no place to set it upright.
