* Piano hinged top, removab,le. I've had it just resting on top, the hinge runs length of top. It is 3"-4" taller in the back, front legs were trimmed to get a tilt. If back legs were trimmed, it would still be a tall drafting or bistro/dining table.
* Sturdy as all get out. Dowel, no hardware.
Ability to use for large artwork, full sheet matt board sized.
* No wiggles or wobbles, decades of life left
