I go out searching these fair weather eugene night streets, I'd be lying to myself if I said it was to find love. I don't believe I am really searching for this fickle feeling that leaves me like a jostled foot I've sat too long on. I browse through craigslist because I know that it is a battleground of terribly hurt people. I find that I want to be like them. I want to smile and say pretty much nothing and expect someone to recognize me. I someday hope that the words I utter will seem like an accent in driving, I want to sound californian: jaded. I want to look out my window that fills with light so early and wonder about my neighbors, "Do you find the chainsaw comforting?" It makes me feel at home. I have lived with artists but I am not one. I have always been a rainy day writer. I find in these battled pages of others that there is very little that people love about themselves. We have become a nature that destroys even the kindest and beautiful, I am a lonely shadow in a brightly lit world. I walk these night streets and plod my way home to 12th afraid to winter again in the whiteaker. I could expunge my life of a car, of accountability and pretend for a while that I am twenty but I will not. I know I could find happiness here on Earth if I really tried, hell probably if I didn't really try at all. These are all feelings that can take over and make me feel something other than happy. I think a real relationship includes a kind of business arrangement, not that you need to pay for love but you should be accountable for your actions while you are there much like an employer pays for your time. I don't expect someone to buy me things but I do like thoughtful gifts, something small that says, "I had this moment where you were on my mind, and I got you this!" The best gifts I've ever been given were a stick, a pint of honey, a flower and some scribbled words on a napkin left outside my door, these are all things that mean so much to me even though time has moved these men from my life. So...all about me in an easy to read list format:

I have a job and a place to live and a car. I am financially stable.

I am a student and fairly close to having my bachelor's degree.

I am not fat or ugly. I work out, not in fantastic shape, but will be eventually.
